сеть передачи данных, в которой между каждыми двумя узлами имеется по крайней мере два независимых пути. Существуют две топологии ячеистых сетей: full mesh topology - полная ячеистая топология (когда каждый узел сети имеет канал, соединяющий его с каждым другим узлом) и partial mesh topology - частичная ячеистая топология (когда только некоторые узлы могут иметь связи со всеми другими узлами, а остальные - лишь с теми узлами, через которые они обмениваются основным трафиком). Соединения могут быть как проводными, так и беспроводными. Ячеистая сеть обеспечивает высокую надёжность за счёт большой избыточности, соответственно является более дорогой.
